Combination Permeability Testing Apparatus Constant Head Apparatus

TST-70 soil permeameter is manufactured in imitation of the Kimma permeameter. The inner diameter is φ100+0.22mm. It can measure the permeability of sandy soil and non-cohesive soil containing a small amount of gravel under normal water head. This instrument is mainly composed of water seepage components and compaction parts. The water seepage components are composed of a cylinder body, a water seepage plate, a scale plate, a pressure measuring tube, etc. Three pressure measuring tubes are installed on the scale plate, and the spacing between them is 100±0.44mm. The water level can be read from the scale of the scale plate installed on the cylinder. Copper wire cloth is installed in the joints of the pressure measuring tubes to prevent fine sand from flowing out with water during the test. There is a drainage hole at the bottom of the water seepage cylinder. The sewage can be discharged by loosening the bolts. The compaction part is equipped with a wooden hammer to compact the sample. The design and manufacture of this instrument complies with the standard (GB9357-77), and complies with the “Geotechnical Test Regulations” (SL237-1999) and “Highway Geotechnical Test Regulations” (T0129-93) for the permeability test of sandy soil and non-cohesive soil containing a small amount of gravel under normal water head

It is used for testing permeability of granular soil which are sands & gravels. It consists of a transparent permeability cell mounted on a detachable aluminium top & base plate. The cylinder has pressure points at different levels & connected to the manometer & to the constant level tank. Two different cell available (75 mm & 114 mm diameter). Falling Head Apparatus Used to determine the permeability of fine-grained soil such as clay-like or slity soil. Flow of water through the specimen is observed by monitoring the rate of fall water in tube.
